Sturt’s Desert Rose (Gossypium sturtianum) is the floral emblem of the Northern Territory. Native to the dry regions of Central and Northern Australia, it is a hardy plant well suited to the Territory’s harsh conditions and a fitting emblem of resilience and strength.
