What is Tokpa Studio?

Tokpa Studio is a small creative studio based in Darwin, Northern Territory. Run by me, Tamara. 

I design and handcraft one-of-a-kind pieces - from homewares and wearable textile art to toys and gifts.

Every item is created using my own original designs — no two pieces are ever exactly the same.

My work focuses on slow stitching, hand-printing, and other traditional textile techniques, often with a modern or quirky spin.

I aim to make pieces that are stylish and practical.

Where is Tokpa Studio located? 

My studio is located on Darwin Harbour in the Northern Territory of Australia.

Local pickup and viewing are available by appointment.

I sometimes hold or attend pop-ups around Darwin - check my socials or sign up for my emails for dates and venues.

Standard shipping across Australia.
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and order size.

Can I order online or get local delivery?

Absolutely.

I offer local delivery within Darwin, or you can pick up from my studio on the Esplanade.

I’m happy to arrange contactless pickup if preferred.

What materials do you use?

I use natural fabrics as much as possible such as wool felt, linen, cotton, and silk.

I often use hand printed fabrics designed in my studio.

I love to work with Indigenous Australian fabrics and carefully selected vintage or reclaimed textiles for sustainability. 

Upcycled materials (saved from going to landfill) are used where possible, such as the bailing twine from Rapid Creek stables in my cotton pottery.

What is your return policy?

Please contact me if you have any issues with your order. I’m here to help ensure you're satisfied with your purchase. I am sorry I don’t offer returns for change of mind.
